Land Of The Loops is actually a one man band from the mid nineties - much like the slightly less obscure Primitive Radio Gods which was Chris O'Connor. The man behind this particular moniker is none other than Boston native Alan Sutherland. Sutherland began making music on cassettes with a turntable and a sampler. He had a friend named Steven who owned a label known as Slabco. Alan stayed with Steven's cassette label and put out a number of cassettes until Steven became the first employee of a record company known as Up Records. Steven convinced his friend Chris Taniko of Up Records to sign Alan on. The rest is history.
Word around the campfire is that these days Alan Sutherland has returned to his native Boston after a spell in Seattle. He has begun teaching and married his long time girlfriend Lorraine.
