Lands of Denmark

From its unification and consolidation in the 9th century, the Kingdom of Denmark was historically composed of three distinct "lands":
- Scania (Skåneland) on the Scandinavian peninsula
- Zealand (Sjælland) and other islands in the Danish Straits
- the Jutland (Jylland) peninsula
