How notable is this channel? E.g. number of users? SMC 01:09, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- I just hopped in there to take a look, I count 119 users online, including myself and ChanServ. Access list shows 4 ops, which would suggest that (at least as long as it's been on freenode) it has never been a major channel. --Michael Billington (talk • contribs) 10:27, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
A channel of such note and size should most certainly be documented; we owe it to ourselves as well as our community. Any other course of action would clearly be against the proliferation of relevant information and thereby would be deemed odious, heinous censorship, clearly violating Wikipedia's objectives. The goals of the channel clearly have played, and will continue to play, an important and prevalent role in society by shaping consciousness via humanistic understandings. To delete this article would be preposterously misguided. The channel maintains an active and large user base. For these reasons the deletion tag will be removed.
