The Laredo Broncos are a minor league baseball team in the independent United League and Texas Winter League. They are based in Laredo, Texas. In their first season, after a disappointing 5-15 start, the Broncos earned respect by having a winning record down the stretch and winning 11 of their last 16 games, making a trip to the playoffs where they pushed the first place Edinburg Coyotes to their limit before being eliminated. The Broncos play at Veterans Field, which seats 3,200. All Texas Winter League games are played at Harlingen Field, which seats 4,500. The General Manager and architect of the Laredo Broncos is native Laredoean Jose Melendez
