Larne F.C. is a Northern Ireland football club playing in the Irish Premier League. The club, founded in 1889, hails from Larne and plays its home matches at Inver Park. Club colours are red and white. The current manager is Paul Curran.
Despite struggling in the League since promotion, Larne have managed to make a CIS Cup final (03/04) and an Irish Cup final (04/05), losing to Cliftonville on penalties and Portadown respectively. In season 05/06 Larne made it to two cup semi-finals and guaranteed safety, finishing 12th in the league under the guidance of Kenny Shiels.
Larne F.C. also supports a ladies team, whose colours are red, white and black. Formed by a small committee of parents & friends of the Larne Colts in November 2004, they made history by being the first ladies team to play at Windsor Park as part of the half-time entertainment during the Irish Cup Final in May 2005. The Ladies also have a juniors team and welcome players to both junior and senior levels of the club. Any girls over the age of 8 are welcome to join the juniors and anyone aged over 14 is welcome to join the senior squad.
In 2002 Radio 1 DJ Fergie played a homecoming gig at the club's ground.
On November 26th 2006 Larne announced that ex-captain Paul Curran would take over as manager of the Inver Park side.
