Larry Taylor

Larry 'The Mole' Taylor (b. June 6, 1942) is an American bass guitarist best known for his work as a member of Canned Heat from 1967. He played with Canned Heat at various festivals including the Monterey International Pop Festival and Woodstock. Before joining Canned Heat he had been a session bassist for The Monkees and Jerry Lee Lewis.
His band nickname was 'The Mole'. He also played lead guitar occasionally, for example on the track "Down In the Gutter, But Free", on the album Hallelujah. He toured with John Mayall's Bluesbreakers when John moved to the Los Angeles area.
He is the younger brother of long-time drummer for The Ventures, Mel Taylor.
