Lars Jamel Tate (born February 2, 1966 in Indianapolis, Indiana), was a former American professional football player who was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2nd round of the 1988 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 215 lbs. running back from the University of Georgia, Tate played in 3 NFL seasons from 1988-1990. Tate led the Bucs in rushing during the 1988 and 1989 seasons.
