Where is this pokemon found?

- That depends on the game you're playing. If you're playing Pokémon Ruby, Once you beat the Elite Four Latias appears at random locations, similar to Entei, Raikou, and Suicune in Pokémon Gold and Silver. Latios, however, can be found only on Southern Island in Pokémon Ruby.
In Pokémon Sapphire, it's the other way around. Latios is the one that appears randomly and Latias is the one found on Southern Island
A cool thing is that once you've seen them, the Pokédex will show you where the next place they will appear in is and if you go there quickly enough, you'll be able to see them again.

- Fern, I believe you are mixed up. It's the other way around. In Sapphire, Latias is the one that appears randomly and Latios is the one found on Southern Island. - PinkDeoxys 21:04, 27 January 2006 (UTC)

Latios does not translate into "the uncle" in spanish. To be so it would have to be "el tio".
[edit] Incorrect info in the 'Anime' section
The Anime section says "Also, at the very end (of the movie Pokemon Heroes), during the credits, two Latios (Most likely reincarnations/offspring of the previous Latios) are shown heading towards Altomare." This is incorrect. The original Japanese version of the movie mentioned that many Latios and Latias visit Altomare from time to time. This was left out in the American version of the movie, leading many to mistakenly believe that the Latios and Latias at the end were meant to be offspring/reincarnations. "At the end of the film, Latios sacrifices himself to protect Altomare from a tremendous tidal wave. It is notable that Latios marks the first actual Pokémon death in the entire North American anime series. It was surely a very sad moment for true Pokémon fans."
Surely the sadness of Latios dying isn't fact, and maybe some 'untrue' fans of Pokémon found it sad? (sorry forgot the sig first time) ilovemrdoe 16:49, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
