Lauben Heising

Lauben-Heising is a municipality in Bavaria.
Within the district Oberallgäu this municipality is the smallest with just 8 km² and some 3,200 residents.
The municipality consists of several settlements: Lauben, Heising, Hofen, Moos und Stielings as well as the very small villages Nasengrub, Gräbelesmühle, Staig, Hafenthal, Grund, Finken, Oberbühlers, Schwarzenbühlers, Winklers, Ellensberg, Hinwang und Steigers.
To the south the municipality shares a border with Kempten im Allgäu, to the north-west with the municipality Altusried, to the north with the market town Dietmannsried and to the east with the municipality Haldenwang.
Already 300AD the area was settled by Alemans.
