Lautaro Acosta is an Argentine football midfielder/striker. He was born on March 14, 1988, in the city of Glew in the Almirante Brown Partido of Buenos Aires Province of Argentina. He currently plays for Club Atlético Lanús of the Primera Division Argentina.
Acosta came through the youth system at Lanús to make his professional debut in 2006. He is quickly becoming an important part of the first team due to the fact that Lanús are a club that often sell their best players.
In 2007 Acosta was picked to join the Argentina Under-20 squad to compete in the 2007 South American Youth Championship in Paraguay. He headed the only goal in the last game against Uruguay to secure Argentina's qualification for both 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup and 2008 Olympic Games.
