Lauwe Chhon (not his real name) was born 3rd February, 1986 at St. Paul's Hospital in Hong Kong. His father was an ethnic Englishman from Birmingham, and his mother a Hong Kong Chinese. He lives with his parents and brother while in Hong Kong.
He was educated at St. Paul's Co-educational College AM Primary School (now St. Paul's Co-educational College (Macdonnell Road) Primary School), and was promoted to study at St. Paul's Co-educational College during his secondary school years. After completeing his HKCEE in July 2003, he proceeded to study GCE A-Level at Colchester Royal Grammar School in the United Kingdom, and he is consequently studying Master of Pharmacy at the University of Bath.
A person who is rather conservative compared to his age group, he is utterly displeased at how the world's moral standards have fallen from what he had know, although it could have been like this all along, and he had been well-sheltered from the true face of the world.
After arriving in the UK for studies, he is also very much disappointed by a UK that does not live up to his dreams. He perceives goods and services to be over-priced, and goods tend to be of lower quality. He would often draw comparisons between Hong Kong and England, by which the former is generally praised, although he does admit there is a worse pollution problem. He is appalled by the attitude of youngsters in the UK (which have led to measures such as asbo), in his own words, "with their hoodies and such,"; despite this, he views himself as a proper British citizen, for he cares how good/bad the UK is. He is a member of the a Great Britain that once had an empire where the sun never sets. Because of this, he is further frustrated by the UK's fees and awards regulations, which the university uses to deny him local fee status, in addition to financial reasons.
He also feels proud to be Chinese, and is deeply irritated by the Chinese Central Government's crackdown in the Tiananmen incident of 1989, and upset that the younger generation is showing ignorance of the incident. He is also an advocate for universal suffrage in Hong Kong. He prefers Chinese food over the generally blander British cuisine, although pork pie is one of his favourite British foods.
Academically, he is into science, and enjoys Chemistry the most, while his interest in the rest of science tends to be on general knowledge. He is also a science fiction fan, and Star Wars is his favourite. He is however not a fan who would go dress up as a character.
He is a protestant, and is well aware to steer away from those he view as extremists. He refuses to believe that the Koran of the Muslims encourages the use of violence no matter what the situation, since the Koran had supposedly identical roots with Christian and Jewish holy texts.
