[edit] Reads like a book review
Self explanatory, really- statements such as "but it helps and it's a wonderful read in it's own right" and the entirity of the final paragraph are unsuitable for a wikipedia article. I love Holdstock's books as much as the next man, but this article needs to be written more as a critical analysis of the novel. MightyPenguin 14.26, 23 March 2006 (GMT)
Good point, I see what you mean and have tried to amend it somewhat. I hope that it now reads a little better in the respects that you mention - it is though very difficult to do so given my love for this book, hence I find it unexpectedly difficult to write about it objectively. If you (or anyone else) still feels that the 'tone' of the entry is wrong then feel free to amend it if you so wish, I honestly won't mind at all. Gaunt 17:17, 1 April 2006 (GMT)
- Mighty Penguin's comments are still valid, this reads like a personal review and not like an encyclopedia article (and the POV examples that MP cited are still present). The article on Mythago Wood suffers from the same problem, as well as others (musing on what the book "might have been like" if it were set in a different time period is completely irrelevant to either a review or an encyclopedia article). This needs to be extensively rewritten to be encyclopedic, and less like a personal blog entry. Canonblack 16:56, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

- Feel free to amend it as you see fit - I'm afraid that these days I lack the time. Gaunt 18:23, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
