[edit] barnstar

Hi, thanks for the cool spinning barnstar! Martin 20:51, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I fixed it now, it was getting confused the formatting of the table. thanks again! Martin 20:56, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Re: follow-up question

Thanks for your help with my question, I am still trying to resolve the issue. When I went to tag the image (Playboy_March_2005.jpg) uploader's talk page, I discovered that this was not the first problem with a violation. What is the policy on repeat violation offenders?

Hm, I actually don't know how to deal with repeat offenders, but I imagine a warning of some kind might be appropriate. Perhaps you could try leaving a note on the administrators' noticeboard so an admin can take a look and leave the appropriate warning? I'm not sure if there's much else regular users can do, but I'm not really familiar enough with that sort of thing to be able to help too much, unfortunately. —Keakealani Poke Mecontribs 23:46, 14 August 2006 (UTC)

I've just met your bot request on Wikipedia:Bot_requests#little_bitty_bot. Let me know if you need any further assistance. Regards, alphaChimp laudare 02:50, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Stubsensor

OK. :) But I have something for you. :) When you finish a section, or an entry, you can just remove them. You don't need to strike them out or keep them at all. --Woohookitty(meow) 00:06, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to VandalProof!

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Lawilkin! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. - GIen 18:16, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Imagevio vs. fairusedisputed

Hi there! I just wanted to say that when an image is tagged as "fair use", then you shouldn't use the {{imagevio}} template, but the {{fairusedisputed}} template if you think its use would not qualify under our Wikipedia:Fair use policy. Thanks! --Fastfission 22:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jones Fine and Performing Arts Residential College

Hey, I just wanted to tell you that, per [1], "not encyclopedic" is not one of the WP:CSD. Try prod or afd instead. Regards, alphaChimp laudare 03:51, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] deletion policy

I found a new page that is clearly crap, and I put a SD tag on it, but the creator deleted it. What's the deal? Lauren 20:12, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Put the tag up again, and notify an administrator. —Daniel (‽) 20:14, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Quoyle point

I saw you redirected it to The Shipping News. I wasn't fiinished editing it yet. The article is related to The Shipping News and could have been merged into it but I believe it is worth a separate article. Jorgenpfhartogs 22:43, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

No problem, I will expand the article soon. Jorgenpfhartogs 23:48, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

I'd like that actually. Started editing more actively recently and would like to receive some tips and help from more experienced wikipedians. Jorgenpfhartogs 00:15, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Lawilkin, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Actaully it simply displays my e-mail address to other fellow wikipedians on to my user profile and I had no awareness of that since it was on my User Id profile of that it was illegal. It was loaded up here through Wikipedia by me ?

[edit] Editing problems and mediation of Caravaggio

Hi Lawilkin. I find I can't edit articles. Has my ability to do so been suspended because of this mediation case re Caravaggio? I see myself as pretty much an innocent bystander - the dispute is really between Zefrog and Galassi. Can my right to edit be erintroduced for other articles, if I have to be suspended from the Caravaggio one? Thanks...PiCo 02:34, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

Update: I can edit on whole pages, but I can no longer see, let alone access and edit, individual sections. Don't know what the problem is. Can you help?PiCo 02:53, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:ADOPT

Hi there,

As a user looking to Adopt with the Adopt-a-User program, there has been some ongoing developments that we would like to bring to your attention, as well as request help with the backlog at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.

You should know that the way the adoption process works has changed slightly. To decrease workload at Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user on offering adoption please change the {{Adoptme}} template to {{Adoptoffer}} on the user's user page, and this will add the user to Category:Wikipedians having been offered adoption. Users that have already been offered adoption can always have a second or third offer, but by separating out those users that have not had an adoption offer yet, it is hoped that no one will go lacking. Once adoption is complete please use the templates found here on the Adoptee's and your user page.

Also numerous Adopters have been adding their details to a list of users available for adopting, to offer a more personalised service and allow new users to browse through and pick their own Adopter. The quickest way to adopt though, is still to contact users at the Category:Wikipedians seeking to be adopted in Adopt-a-user.

Furthermore a new Adopter's Area has been created where you can find useful resources and other Adopter's experiences. Please feel free to add any resources you have and if you know of any useful resources for new users / Adoptees then you can add them here.

So I hope you get adopting soon - and if you have any general questions or suggestions about the further development of Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User please bring them to our talk page. Cheers Lethaniol 15:25, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
