A list of those who have been exposed to the pits both in main continuity and elseworld stories would add to the article.

I did an overhaul of the article. Added more info, added references and so on.

As for the above comments, I added a bit more to who was exposed to the pits and as for who created them, they appear to be natural occurring phenomena in nature apart of the natural balance of life. As for when they first appeared, that be in the first appearance of Ra's al Ghul of course as they didn't exist until his appearance. Phunbot 07:20, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
