League Park I (Cincinnati)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
League Park was the name used for two different baseball parks that formerly stood in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were both home fields of the team now known as the Cincinnati Reds of the National League and American Association.
The first League Park was the ball club's home from 1884 through 1893. It was originally called American Park, since the team played in the American Association at the time. In 1890, it changed to League Park since the club moved to the National League.
In 1894, the second League Park opened in the same location as the first League Park. In 1901, the park would burn down and be replaced on site by Palace of the Fans and eventually Crosley Field.
