The opening sentence states: Leber’s hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) or Leber optic atrophy is a maternally inherited form of acute or subacute loss of central vision that may lead to degeneration of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and their axons... Degeneration leads to vision loss, not the other way around. Anyone agree that this should be changed? AED 06:30, 28 July 2005 (UTC)

I removed the section regarding clinical trials in the UK. It may be relevant to the article, but it's still advertising. This user has been told numerous times about vandalism, so see the users page or their other page. If anyone has a good reason to revert it, then revert it. Jay.S 22:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
