Lee Frecklington (born September 8, 1985 in Lincoln) is an English born professional footballer currently playing for Lincoln City.
He began his footballing career at Norwich City's youth academy, however detracted to Lincoln's academy.
His favoured position is in central midfield.
He made his way through Lincoln's Centre of Excellence, under the guidance of current Lincoln Head Coach, John Schofield, and after impressing against Manchester City in a friendly game, was handed a first team game in the LDV Vans Trophy in the 2003/04 season, by then Manager, Keith Alexander.
He made 3 substitute appearances in the 2004/05 season and was handed a 1 year contract by Alexander. In 2005/06 he still only managed to pick up a bagfull of appearances, mainly as a substitute towards the end of the season. In 2006/07, however, he has featured heavily in a very pivotol role towards Lincoln's push for promotion to League One, already boasting a number of exceptional performances which have attracted interest from numerous Premiership and Championship clubs (including Cardiff City, Leeds United, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United).
In November 2006, he was named in the Republic of Ireland (B) international squad for a friendly tie with Scotland. He was allowed to play for Ireland due to fact that his grandparents were born there.
