Talk:Legas

By "Legas", did the writer of the RB 1911 article mean the Leqa, one of the sections of the Welega Oromo tribe? Otherwise, this article makes no sense. -- llywrch 17:13, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think there's been a confusion in the EB 1911 between Galla and Shanqella due to their spelling. They also note that the Sienetjo are Shanqella, but say that they are light-skinned and "Hamitic." I was only really aware of there being a couple of "Shanqella" tribes - the Anuak, Nuer, and Gambella peoples (i.e. excluding the Nilotic groups in Tigray and Eritrea - the Kunama and Nara, who were called "Barya" [again derogatory today like Shanqella]). Note, it even says that they are distinct from the Shangalla! — ዮም | (Yom) | Talk • contribs • Ethiopia 20:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
