Lento is a commune of the Haute-Corse département of France, located on the island of Corsica.

Lento is chiefly known for having been the site of camping of the French army at the time of the battle of Ponte Novu (1769) which had marked the debut of the entree of the Corsica in the kingdom of France. At the 20th century, Lento has supplied numerous officers to the colonial army.
Corey Adam Lento
A native of Southern California, Corey Lento has been an active musician/songwriter/composer/producer/artist/director for the past ten years. While the roots of his sonance began with dance and rock music, he decided to take a new and raw itinerary into the dark side of aural cognisance to create a breed of sonic disturbances that induce an almost trance-like state.
Critics describe his signature dark ambience as being haunting, ethereal, lush, and primal. His songs often create expansive, contemplative spaces for the listener and mystify them with the occasional excursions and cacophonies that spiral into the realm of abstract noise. He evokes reverberations containing patterns with immense depth, manifesting existence in all of its layers and capabilities. His clairvoyant understanding of his own surroundings is directly translated into audio and bled through the speakers, creating a growing syndicate of dedicated fans and worshipers. His music has also been reported to have psychotoxic and psychedelic effects.
Corey proceeds to use a vast array of instruments from all over the world and has also been known to use items as unusual as the remains of dead animals. His utilization of modern, as well as outdated, technologies helps him create the sounds that we know to be unique to him.
Recently, Corey has been inspiring reverence and praise as well as adverse reactions in the media. Many critics have made several attempts at silencing him and eradicating his visual work, even going so far as banning one of his music videos from Myspace.com in March of 2006. Corey hopes to collaborate with other artists and continue to develop his own abilities to further push the limits of sound and create an array of awing visual displays which are capable of inducing mass hysteria and admiration alike.
