Leonard Henry Caleb Tippett

Leonard Henry Caleb Tippett, physicist and statistician, born 1902 in London. He studied with Karl Pearson at the Galton Biometrical Laboratory. Pioneered with R.A. Fisher and Emil Gumbel the extreme value theory. He died in 1985.
