OK, this is understandable. However, from the perspective of the reader who is looking up the entry it is essential to have a link to older papers that are difficult to find otherwise. It seems to me that there are two issues to be taken care of. The reader-user's interest and convenience should supersede the spam rule, on occasions when this is justified. (Leonj)
We do not link to mirrors of published material on personal websites, especially where that material is still under copyright. References can be added using the various mechanisms described in WP:CITE, and should be to reliable sources. Just zis Guy you know? 11:16, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
