LeRoy Myers was first elected into the Maryland House of Delegates in 2003 to represent District 1C, which covers Allegany & Washington Counties. He defeated long-time delegate and former Speaker of the House, Casper R. Taylor.

Myers attended Hagerstown Community College.
[edit] Career
Myers served in U.S. Army Reserves from 1970-76. He was a general manager for LeRoy E. Myers, Inc., a masonry contracting firm, from 1971-84. He is now President and owner of Myers Building Systems, Inc., a general contracting firm.
He is a member of the Hagerstown-Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the National Federation of Independent Businesses. He is on the board of directors for Cedar Ridge Ministries and the Grace Academy.
