Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) is a school district based in Lewisville, Texas (USA) covering most of Lewisville and all of The Colony, Flower Mound, Highland Village, Copper Canyon, and Double Oak as well as portions of Plano, Carrollton, Frisco, Hebron, Coppell, Grapevine and Argyle. LISD is ranked as "academically acceptable" under the Texas Education Agency, and individual schools are broken down as follows:

For the 2005-2006 school year, LISD had 47,283 students enrolled, with a total staff of 5,843. LISD is among the 20 largest school districts in Texas.
