[edit] Park name

It may seem odd to call the protected area Lewis and Clark National and State Historical Parks rather than Lewis and Clark National Historical Park, but this seems to be how the managers are presenting it to the public. I know technically the legislation called it the latter. However, the "National and State" usage is consistent with a prior example: "Redwood National Park" within Redwood National and State Parks. — Eoghanacht ^talk 13:11, 6 October 2005 (UTC)

What a disappointment! Well, maybe I can help. When folks were looking for the Northwest Passage from the ocean, somebody found a big ol' river. But the Columbia sandbar made it real hard to find it again. Further attempts at exploration lead to disappointment - one of them on a cape just north of the Columbia. I read that, I think, in the book called "Oregon" by Judy Jewell. I'll try to look it up and attach names and dates. -Pete 02:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

I get disappointed (pun unintended) every time I click a link to something like Fort Canby and it redirects here and then there's no info. What's the the inspiration behind the redirects? Can't we have separate articles on some of these places and make a "see also" with a link to this article? We need info on:
