[edit] About Me
Hi, I'm Liam, an 18 year old male born in Perth, but now living in Melbourne. I am a member for Habonim Dror Australia, and consider myself a Cultural Jew.
[edit] Occupation
By day, I am a student at Deakin University studying a double degree of Arts/Commerce. I also spend a lot of time working with Habo as a leader of a year 11 group (in Hebrew, קבוצה), and also as webmaster of its Melbourne website. In 2007 I will be the federal treasurer of Habonim Dror.
A hobby of mine is also as a journalist on Whirlpool, an Australian broadband news website and community. I have been a member of the community since 2003, and a volunteer reporter (as all staff is) since August 2004. During my time at Whirlpool in a reporting capacity, the reporting team has won multiple Lizzy awards, including the 2005 award, presented in 2006, a ceremony that I attended.
[edit] Interests
[edit] Gadgets and gizmos galore
I love owning various gadgets and gizmos as they are released. I like trying new technologies (I am writing this on a month-old Apple MacBook, with a beautiful Canon EOS 350D sitting next to me.
[edit] Music
A full list of my musical tastes can be seen in my Last.fm profile, but I mainly enjoy listening to rock (especially Australian rock), and Israeli music.
[edit] On Wikipedia
I'm quite a well-spread individual, in terms of Wikipedia. I joined in 2004 and have since spent time on lots of different areas on Wikipedia. I I like to concentrate most of my editing energy (which, admittedly, is not very high) on the following broad categorial areas:
- Judaism
- Zionism
- Australian
- some IT topics, but mainly the specific area of ADSL
