What does this accomplish that Category:Liberal parties does not? If this useless thing is to be kept, at least make it less prominent. When I first saw it, I thought there was a dispute going on. --Jiang 23:37, 26 Jul 2004 (UTC)

- The reason I created this template is to link the article on liberal parties around the world to the series' on liberalism (see e.g. liberalism. I really see an advantage over the categorization, since it enables a more structured way of linking articles to each other. The problem I had that normally a series template would go on the right side of the page, making it less prominent. But some of the parties are allready part of another series and sometimes that space is used for a box with information on the party (see e.g. the Democratic Progressive Party. You might not see the need for it, that is ok, but I still see a function for this template (see above). I am ready to make it less prominent in a way it still fits in the template:liberalism series. - I'd rather not, because many parties will be included in this series. It would be better to include all the parties in the box, but that list would be to long. I made the template now more concludent with the other templates in the series and changed the colors to make it less prominent Gangulf 10:43, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I think it would be better if this were a footer, since as you've mentioned, the upper right hand corner is often already occupied. The relation among the parties is not strong enough to make listing all of them out any use. --Jiang 10:54, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)

- I will make a footer for parties where there is a special box, like the DPP, otherwise I will use the right side box I have now and place it at the top. Gangulf 20:09, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Why not use the footer for all parties? If someone wants to add the logo or someother image, s/he might not be aware that a footer exists and will have to needlessly deal with cramming everything in the same corner. --Jiang 23:45, 27 Jul 2004 (UTC).
