"Life After Death and Taxes (Failure II)" is a song by Relient K, from their 4th album Mmhmm.

It is a sequel to the song "Failure to Excommunicate" from their second album The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek, which is the reason for the '(Failure II)' in the song title. The other connection with the older song is the same string melody heard at the end. The Life After Death strings are a little more subtle, and in the key of this song.

This song and its predecessor have been dubbed "The Failure Series" by both the band and the fans.
