It might be worth noting that the "time loop" scene is reminiscent of the film Groundhog Day - Like Bill Murray's character she is hopelessly doomed to repeat it, quickly realizing the situation, taking advantage of the situation, trying to escape it "the easy way" (him by committing suicide, her by leaving the store) until they figure out what to do.
