Lighthouse keeper

A lighthouse keeper is the person responsible for tending and caring for a lighthouse. The last civilian keeper in the United States, Frank Schubert, died in 2003, and the only officially manned lighthouse, Boston Harbor Light, is manned by the Coast Guard. In most countries, however, lighthouse keepers still exist; this is especially true in many third-world nations.
