Lime Rock, Connecticut

Lime Rock is a neighborhood in the village of Lakeville, Connecticut, situated on the Salmon Kill.
Lime Rock was the home of the Barnum and Richardson Company, which made it the capitol of the historic iron industry of the upper Housatonic Valley. U.S. Senator William Henry Barnum, the chief executive of Barnum and Richardson, resided in Lime Rock and is buried in the Lime Rock Cemetery]. After Barnum Richardson closed its eastern works, the village became home of the Lime Rock Artists Association.
