Lincoln Heights is an American drama television series about a cop's family who moves back to his old neighborhood of Lincoln Heights to start a new life and to help his old neighborhood. It's not as easy as it seems and it takes awhile to settle in. While the dad is settling in, the kids are trying to fit in at their new schools. For Cassie, it isn't always easy either. There is a new kid named Charles who happens to be white, happens to take an interest in her.
The show premiered January 8, 2007 on the ABC Family network with 13 episodes ordered for the first season. It has been approved for a second season which will consists of 22 episodes based on season one's success. The second season is scheduled to premiere in July 2007 or September 2007 but if production starts soon the premiere date of the second season premiere, may be moved up even before July. A June premiere of the second season is may overeaching but July is probably when Lincoln heights will debut it's second season.

The show premiered with the highest ratings of the year (at the time) for ABC Family. But the ratings have been in a roller-coaster like trend, dipping and receding each week. To date the ratings have been as follows:

- ABC Family said in an interview to E! Online that they expected the premiere to air with a 4.0 .
- Pilot scored the highest ratings for the year on ABC Family. Second place is Wildfire's third season premiere with 4.2 . (It should be noted now that Wildfire has scored the highest ratings since then with a 5.4 for Push Me, Push You, which involved the the details on Ken's heart attack.
- Lincoln Heights actually served as a lead-in for ratings of the Wildfire episode Moving On, which only scored a 3.8 that night.
- For 4/8 of it's currently aired episodes it has had the highest ratings of the night on ABC Family.
