Lipodissolve
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Lipo-dissolve" or "Lipodissolve," also called injection lipolysis is a medical treatment that uses the compounded pharmaceutical PCDC (phosphatidylcholine-deoxycholate) to destroy fat cells. The compound is delivered directly into the subcutaneous fat through multiple microinjections administered over one to three treatment sessions spaced about six weeks apart. PCDC destroys fat cells, which are removed from the body in through normal waste removal . The end result is precise body contouring in localized areas. Lipo-dissolve is not to be confused with mesotherapy, a treatment that uses a similar injection technique to administer a mixture of substances including vitamins, herbs, and other medications injected either into the skin or subcutaneous tissues to treat a variety of conditions.
Lipo dissolve was initially developed by Dr. Patricia Rittes, a dermatologist in Sao Paolo, Brazil in 1990. Since the inception of this technique use has expanded worldwide becoming widespread in Europe, Asia, and most recently North America.
