This is a list of South American economies sorted by their gross domestic product (GDP) at market or government official exchange rates (nominal GDP). The data here is an estimation for the year 2006 produced by the International Monetary Fund in April 2006. This list includes countries which are commonly included in South America; the precise listing of South American countries may vary.
