The following is a list of Presidents of the Russian Federation since its independence, in December 26, 1991.

| Aleksandr Rutskoy1 (September 22, 1993 – October 4, 1993) was appointed the president by the parliament after Boris Yeltsin allegedly violated the Constitution, but was later arrested. |
