[edit] style
I thought Lisa Lampanelli is rather abrasive when I watched her the other night on comedy central. I was surprised some people didn't get up out of the audience and smack her in the face. I am totally surprised they put up with some of her comments. She insulted an older guy in the audience. I thought that was very uncalled-for. I am surprised they let her just go on like she does. She's totally an unguided missile. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tonetare (talk • contribs).
- I reverted the "unguided missile" from the main page, per WP:LIVING. Feel free to add properly-sourced NPOV criticisms, but adding something to the effect of "I don't know why anybody likes her" is nearly original research. --Interiot 09:33, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's like saying that you're surprized that somebody doesn't get up out of the audience and slap the host at a white supremacy meeting for making racist remarks...It's what they expect when they go to the show. 70.162.66.142 11:30, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] First roast? When did she get her break?
We've got a lot of online references now, but the first decade of her comedy career isn't really clear. Does anyone know what her first roast was? IMDB suggests that the first televised roast she was Hugh Hefner's 2001 roast, though WP:RS notes that IMDB isn't necessarily reliable for television shows. She was definitely at Chevy Chase's 2002 roast though. Was that the first roast she attended? (televised or not)
Also, was there anything else around that time that helped her achieve wider fame? --Interiot 03:18, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
