pre-1925 women's champions are not listed
The articles on individual players tend to have various diacritical marks it would seem more consistent to list the player's names with the diacritics. Brett Dunbar 12:12, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

Is it necessary to include this? This is the only Grand Slam winners list that has one. Besides, the principle behind it is redundant. It is a timeline to show who won at a specific year--which is already shown in the table. Also, a template is made available on a winner's page listing down the winner in a certain year. If editors would like to add a section to this article other than the table, then I suggest adding a table of multiple winners--the player with the most titles, etc., which is more informative.
