This list is currently under construction. When completed, I plan to have all entries organised in tables with headings as below. I would appreciate any assistance in the task or any suggestions for an alternate organisation of the content.

- Primary position: primary position(s) as given in Football (soccer) positions (be specific is possible: e.g., Defender (Centre back), instead of Defender)

- retired (played YYYY–YYYY)
- deceased (played YYYY–YYYY)

[edit] Information on living persons
Per Wikipedia's policy on biographies of living persons, any information on living persons should be supported by a source. For this list in particular, it is of utmost importance that no living individual be listed as "deceased" without confirmation from a reliable source. Any such additions should be immediately removed per WP:BLP. Also, when in doubt about the career status of an individual, it is better to leave the field blank or to type "???" instead of forwarding a guess. -- Black Falcon 23:47, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
