[edit] Move
The word "other" in this page's title has no proper context. Sure, it mentions not being of a "main race", but how is someone just looking at the article name going to know that. It is not necessary, as we could just link to the other, related pages at the top removing any confusion. Also, why does "Aliens" have a capital letter? I propose it be moved to List of aliens in Dragon Ball. elvenscout742 22:14, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
- Although I don't endorse the article, if you are going to move, you should move it to List of Dragon Ball aliens per manual of style guidelines. -- ReyBrujo 02:53, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
the word other is actually very moronic since all races are divided by affiliation, such as heroes and villains, moreso, rather than aliens. essentially, the freeza squadron should not be inserted with the likes of namekians and tsufurujin.
[edit] Garlic Jr.'s Henchmen
Someone look at that article. A lot of that seems to be personal opinion, not fact. Can someone change it slightly>--Suit-n-tie 19:24, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Spada?
When is the name of the sword given? I watched the movie tonight, and TiVo decided to cut the end of the movie off, so I missed everything after Hirudegarn is destroyed. Is it named then? Because Tapion just says that they found an enchanted sword in the Kash Far's temple. He doesn't say any name. Is the name given in the Japanese version instead? I'd just like a source provided before I remove something that might, in fact, be true.
Daishokaioshin 11:19, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've never seen it called that. It's either made up or from a bad sub. Nemu 23:07, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Yeah...I just watched the dub on Saturday, and I've seen it in Japanese ages ago, and the sword isn't named. Onikage725 14:33, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Garlic. Jr's posse
Would anyone be opposed to splitting off the Ginger Three from the Shitennō? Ginger, Nikki and Sansho are from the movies, but Gashyu, Tado, Salt, and Vinegar are certainly not. Onikage725 14:37, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hirudegarn
Someone should make a main article for Hirudegarn or at least a summary on him in this Alien Wikipedia page. It would be helpful. Johnny542 23:35, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hirudegarn's profile seems to have gone completely anyway; under his name is a link...which redirects to this page. ----Mister V —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 81.79.21.109 (talk • contribs).

[edit] Bojack
It would be great if someone made a main article about Bojack. He starred in a DBZ Movie and that should be enough. Plus, it's much more interesting to see read about chracters who starred in something big in their own article. Frankly, there's no bad reason for Bojack to have his own article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ghadden (talk • contribs) 17:10, 24 February 2007 (UTC).
no, bojack is not a main villain. he's a leading role in the second half of that flick. he doesn't even appear in the first half of that movie. his role is exceptionally limited. also, the role of broly is highly limited as well and there's absolutely no reason that he still has his own profile since he doesn't even appear that much. his battles in two flicks and his re-birth as a bio-construct are not enough for him to have his own profile. —the preceding comment is by 149.68.98.18 (talk • contribs) 149.68.98.18: Please sign your posts!.
[edit] This page's layout is terrible!
It looks like the Freezer-related characters and Namekians were just shoehorned in here without a second thought to aesthetics (and I thought the Namekians were fine in their own List). The S 17:31, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Alright, the problem with the Freeza forces being here is that they are completely uncategorized. Whereas the likes of Muuri or the rest of the namekians and yardrats and tsufurujins are aliens, they are under no alignment, however, actual confirmed supporting villains are not considered "other." The likes of Android 17, Nappa, and even Pikkon have profiles of their own, which gives absolutely no restriction for Zarbon and Dodoria to have their own, since even in the broader view, they appeared much more than the latter. —the preceding comment is by 149.68.98.18 (talk • contribs) 149.68.98.18: Please sign your posts!.
[edit] Discrimination
This is nothing but discrimination already. Saiyan characters who have less appearance are getting pages whilst characters who appear heavily more are being thrown on a list page. It's moronic. Pikkon, for crying out loud, has an episode span of 5 episodes max and one movie. And he has a page? And Nappa has appeared in 11 episodes in the long run...less than characters who seriously deserve pages. Characters such as Zarbon and Dodoria are being discriminated against heavily for absolutely no logical reason. Zarbon appeared in 14 straight episodes and 4 after equating to 18 episodes and cameo appearances throughout as well as a lenghty role in the bardock special. That character in itself is more deservant of a page than the likes of Pikkon and Nappa combined. This kind of discrimination should seriously not be tolerated. The pages have been in existence for over 2 years now and prior to that cutdown, they were doing just fine. By deleting information about the characters completely, especially Zarbon and Dodoria, there is a constant negation against categorization. For one, these characters are not "other", they are most definitively "villain". nuff said. —the preceding comment is by 149.68.98.18 (talk • contribs) 149.68.98.18: Please sign your posts!.
- You're the one who's acting moronic by bringing back pages like Zarbon's and Dodoria's for no apparent reason! As I've already explained in my edit summary, WP:DBZ is still discussing things and characters like Paikuhan are to be merged soon. Please be patient. Don't be a dick about it by complaining. Also, make sure you sign your posts using four tildes (~~~~), as it is hard to decifer who's leaving the comment. Power level (Dragon Ball) 19:46, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Zarbon's appearance
I seem to have just missed a minor flame war on Zarbon's description. Even so, Zarbon's transformation was listed as to a "reptilian beast"; this seems to imply that he becomes a reptile instead of an anthropomorphic reptilian creature. As a result, I've changed the description, and added the link, to reptilian humanoid. --Kain 23:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Length of this list
This list seems to be becoming quite long, for what is a list of characters that are unrelated other than being non-human/dragon/Saiyan. The listing of Dragon Ball characters has gone through a lot of structural changes, and characters who have had individual pages have been merged into listings such as this one, with the remainder of their descriptions lost. Also where do some of these names come from? Surely not from Japanese transliteration... there are orthographic constructions impossible in the Japanese language. --Kain 23:29, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Refer to this for why a number of characters have been added to this list. As for why character entries are dramatically shorter, plot summaries are being frowned upon when they make up the bulk of a character's entry. General character traits/abilities and the highlights of a character's role in the series are the general goal for each entry. And as for names, you'll need to elaborate on particulars and why they're impossible. ~SnapperTo 23:54, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

- That discussion was <1 month ago so no surprise I missed it. It's still the 2nd or 3rd restructuring of characters I've seen (in ca. 1½ years), and links aren't all being redirected to be resolved. Regarding your other comment, it isn't possible for me to reply without elaboration upon your hidden comment. --Kain 00:14, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

- Given your user page and the fact that your reply was coherent, I assume you aren't referring to yourself with your hidden comment. If this assumption is false, I apologize for making an ass out of me and myself. If this assumption is correct, I was referring to myself with the "doesn't know Japanese" line. ~SnapperTo 00:39, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

- Er, I wasn't. My assumption was that you were referring to me, as you had used the third person. Apologies for the misunderstanding. I was going to post a couple of examples when I saw your reply in the edit box. These are (amongst others): Jheece (I can't see any means of constructing "jh" in Japanese, and it is not native to English either); and Saibamen (this might as well be a Japanese transliteration of Cybermen), which appears to be "Saibaimen" (actually "Saibaiman"). I'll have to go back and capture screenshots of the title screens (I only have a subtitled version with Japanese audio). It appears that there are inconsistencies in the way Japanese names are transliterated here, and my comment here was to query whether there was a standard other than the Kunrei or Hepburn romanizations. --Kain 00:58, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

- I think names are generally spelt to match how they are spelt in the English manga, falling back on transliterations when that isn't available or "agreeable". Don't quote me on that though. During all of the page mergings, much of the Japanese name information (kanji, romaniazation, alternative interpretations, etc.) were left behind, possibly owing to whatever name discrepancies or confusions there are. I might start re-adding this information over the weekend, and in the meantime you might want to ask this question at WP:DBZ (this article doesn't receive a lot of traffic, and therefore you aren't likely to get much help in the near future). ~SnapperTo 02:54, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Saichoro
In the Latin American dub of DBZ, Saichoro(Guru) was always referred to as the Great Patriarch. Should his be noted as well? vic729 03:19, 22, March 2007(UTC)
