Talk:List of civil aircraft
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I'm rolling the separate civil and military aircraft lists back into one master list of all aircraft because these lists are in a very rough state, and to avoid the increased risk of creating duplicate articles. Once we have a high-quality and somewhat comprehensive list of aircraft types, it will be relatively easy to create as many sublists as anyone cares to make, while still maintaining some sort of consistency. --Rlandmann 06:39, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)
[edit] An autogiro is an aircraft
The move of the autogiro entry raises an issue. If autogiros are to be in a separate list then why not all rotary wing aircraft? This list should then be retitled something like 'List of civil fixed-wing aircraft'. And what about other types of aircraft? treesmill 16:56, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
I see your point and agree. The reason I moved the entry for Kellet is that it was created as a military aircraft and I had created the entry and listed in civil a/c list. Alex Feldstein 17:02, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
