[edit] Article Splitting Request
This article may be more beneficial to split into two articles, those being companion planting and repellent planting. Wile companion planting encompasses such fields as mixed cropping or mixed planting as well as repellant planting, the latter is a more specific subset of practices for more specific purposes, specifically that of repelling pests and diseases, while the former attempts to benefit plants through such advantages as pulling minerals up from lower depths, the breaking up of hardpan, and aeration of the soil.
