[edit] Hagler-Leonard
Even if only 1 fight, still the biggest one exept perhaps ali-foreman
[edit] Tszyu-Mitchell
Those fights in no way belonged on that list.
[edit] Tyson-Spinks
Tyson-Spinks! wasn't that one about 90 seconds long? Koyaanis Qatsi
LOL yeah...but they only had one fight. I remember being so dissapointed cause I thought Spinks would put up a good fight..LOL then again, this was the time Tyson fought like he was the Michael Jordan of boxing. Maybe if I had thought more reasonably I wouldnt have been dissapointed..LOL.

[edit] Lewis-Rahman
I removed the Lewis-Rahman "rivalry", because it was not a rivalry. Lewis underestimated Rahman for the first fight and did not prepare properly, he did so for the second fight and won easily. That is not a great rivalry; there have been dozens of greater rivalries which are not included on this page. Just because two fighters had two fights doesn't make it a rivalry; truw vitriol and a sense of competition does, and there was no evidence of either during these fights beyond what is expected during big title fights. [edit] Criteria
Is the criteria of the article 2 or more bouts? Hagler and Hearns are rivals and they only had one fight, just curious. Maya Levy 17:57, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
- I'd say a rivalry requires persisting efforts by two similarly skilled parties to prove dominance over each other in some regard. I think that Hagler-Hearns had a middleweight division rivalry, but not a straight-up boxing rivalry, since they had only one (really good) fight. Another superfight example is De la Hoya-Trinidad. They were a part of the Mexican-Puerto Rican rivalry and had a middleweight division rivalry, but I wouldn't say they had a boxing rivalry. Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton have a divisional/national/personal rivalry, but they haven't boxed each other. ArcTheLad 01:54, 22 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Holyfield-Ruiz
This is a notable boxing rivalry not necessarily a good one. Miss Maya Levy 18:32, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Patterson-Johansson
Quite an obvious candidate, I would think?
