Talk:List of television programmes broadcast by the BBC
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Surely the name of this page is off? "Broadcast by BBC" isn't usage you'd normally hear — it'd always be "the BBC", especially considering "BBC" isn't a channel in and of itself, but rather operates a range of channels, BBC One, BBC Two etc and so forth. Angmering 06:46, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
Many of the Programmes in the main list are/were produced by independent television production companies, so should the 'indie' list not be merged into the main one? Jt spratt 17:10, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes. And they originally were. This is a simple alphabetical list of programmes broadcast by the BBC. Joe D (t) 02:57, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Shouldn't ONE Life be listed here? 22:29, 25 October 2006
[edit] Thomas the Tank Engine
Thomas shouldn't be in the list - it's an ITV show, only shown on the BBC in Canada. And its produced by a third party. Digifiend 12:38, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed, the intro says 'produced for BBC TV' and that show wasn't. Removed. BillyH 17:14, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] BBC-produced, or just BBC-broadcast?
What's this list supposed to be? The intro says 'An incomplete list of popular BBC produced shows and shows originally produced for BBC TV' but the title refers only to broadcast. Can we settle on one or the other? --Oolong 18:24, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
