The Laboratory of Neuro Imaging (LONI) aims to improve our understanding of normal and disease brain anatomy, function and systems. The LONI lab leads the development of novel computational tools, algorithms and scientific techniques for quantitative mapping, analysis and visualizattion of complex neuroscientific information. LONI begun as a research Laboratory in 1983 and today it is one of the world's foremost neurological research centers.
Reasearch at LONI focuses on:
- building species and disease-specificand computational brain atlases;
- education and training of research investigators; and
- establishing the infrastructure of medical information and knowledge management.
