Loray is a communes, located in the département of the Doubs and the région Franche-Comté. Its inhabitants are called les Loraitins ( or les Cabas ).

Loray is at the est of France, near Pierrefontaine, Valdahon, Orchamps-Venne at approximately 50 km east of Besançon. On the road of the "micro-techniques" between Morteau and Besançon. Its highest point is the "Roche-Barchey" at an altitude of 1,000 m.
