Lord Nelson Hotel

The Lord Nelson Hotel is a grand hotel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is prominently located on the corner of Spring Garden and South Park Streets a cross from the Halifax Public Gardens and was a popular hangout for the counterculture of the 1960s.
The hotel has hosted many celebrities, royality, and politicians[citation needed]. When the Rolling Stones performed in Halifax on September 23, 2006, they stayed at the Lord Nelson Hotel. They were guests on the hotel's 6th floor. On September 24, 2006, a large group of fans gathered outside of the hotel awaiting the departure of the Rolling Stones and were greeted to waves and blown-kisses from each member of the Rolling Stones.[citation needed]
