[edit] Biography
Born in Perugia, Italy on November 20, 1994, Lorenzo moved to California when he was still an infant. He was a vivacious and creative child who always had a tendency to think outside of the box. At the age of 5, Lorenzo began to discover his voice. Eventually weekly voice lessons became the norm and at age 8, he had his first live performance before an audience of over 500 people. He sang “A Whole New World” from Disney’s Aladdin and realized then that he wanted to be a professional singer/performer.
For the past 5 years Lorenzo’s passion for singing has grown in many ways. At age 9 he became part of a musical theater company and performed many shows with them. Some of his favorite and most memorable roles include Dodger in “Oliver,” Edmund in “Narnia,” Kurt in “Sound of Music” and the Tin Man in the “Wizard of Oz.” Lorenzo is also part of a Children’s Choir called “Children of the World” that performs for various charities throughout the Los Angeles area. Additionally, Lorenzo is a proud member of ‘Kids of Rock Theater,” a group of young and talented children that sing and dance on various stages throughout California.
One of Lorenzo’s greatest experiences was being part of the Children’s Choir in “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles. Working alongside Amy Adams and Patrick Cassidy was a fantastic thrill. Lorenzo’s next big project is with the L.A. Opera in their production of “Noye’s Fludde” where he will be playing Noah’s son (January 2007).
Throughout the years Lorenzo has been fortunate enough to express himself in many avenues of entertainment including voice-overs, commercials, theatre, and print. He has also found time to volunteer and has donated his time and music to benefit many worthy causes including Unicef, Smile Train, The Home for the Aging and various other retirement homes.
Currently, Lorenzo is working with his voice coach Roxie Sakura of two years. In collaboration with Jay Plot of All Access Musician, Lorenzo is creating his first CD. Lorenzo is a dedicated and passionate singer whose goal is to continue to reach out to others through his voice.
