Lorenzo Sabatini

Lorenzo Sabatini (c. 1530-1576) was a Bolognese painter of the Mannerist period. A friend of Orazio Sammachini, he traveled to Florence to work with the studio of Giorgio Vasari by the early 1560-65. He was elected member of the Florentine Academy. He returned to Bologna by 1570, and then traveled to Rome, again to work under Vasari in the Sala Regia of the Vatican (1572-73).
