"Louie" Soares (born January 8, 1985 in Reading, England) is an English footballer who plays for Aldershot Town in The Conference. He wears the number 12 shirt and is a midfielder. His brother Tom is also a footballer, who plays for Championship side Crystal Palace.
Louie's career began as a trainee Reading, who also allowed him to make a loan spell to Tamworth, where he made 6 appearances (including five starts).
At the end of the 2004-05 season, Soares was released by Reading, ,he was then signed by Barnet, where he made 25 appearances, scoring once in the whole of the 2005-06 season. Despite this, the Bees allowed him to leave at the end of that season, joining the Shots, where he has already scored two goals in sixteen appearances.
Soares has been called up by Barbados for the Digicel Caribbean Cup tournament and became the first Aldershot Town player to be capped when he played against Trinidad & Tobago on 12th January 2007.
