Louisiana State Police

The Louisiana State Police is the state police department of Louisiana, which has jurisdiction anywhere in the state, created to protect the lives, property and constitutional rights of people in Louisiana.
The department is divided up into nine troops, with its headquarters in Baton Rouge. The troops are divided as follows:
- Troop A (Baton Rouge): covers the parishes of East Baton Rouge, West Baton Rouge, Ascension, Livingston, West Feliciana, East Feliciana, Pointe Coupee, Iberville, and the east bank of St. James
- Troop B (Kenner)
- Troop C (Houma)
- Troop D (Lake Charles)
- Troop E (Alexandria)
- Troop F (Monroe)
- Troop G (Shreveport)
- Troop I (Lafayette)
- Troop L (Covington)
