Loyola University

Loyola University, Loyola College, and Loyola Academy are historic and current educational institutions of the Society of Jesus named in honor of the founder of the Roman Catholic Church religious order, Saint Ignatius of Loyola. The names are also used outside the religious order by local archdioceses and dioceses and by non-Catholic denominations of Christianity.

- Loyola College, Chennai, is a premier institution in India for higher education. It was founded in July, 1925.
- Loyola Academy, Secunderabad(Hyderabad), Loyola Academy is a Catholic minority institution, situated in Secunderabad (Andhra Pradesh) and is run by the Jesuit priests of the order of the Society of Jesus. This college is affiliated to the Osmania University and was granted the status of autonomy in 1992 by the U.G.C.
Initially started with an Intermediate course in 1976, followed by a three-year course called Associate Degree of Chemical Technology (ADCT) in 1977, it today has two aided and nine unaided courses at the Under Graduate (UG) level and 6 unaided courses at the Post Graduate level. All the courses at the UG level are job-oriented

In an agreement struck with the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities in 1996 only Loyola University Chicago retains the legal right to call itself Loyola University in the United States; others must use appendages noting the school's home city or town. Loyola University Chicago has chosen not to exercise this right and prefers to refer to itself as Loyola University Chicago.
